We are looking for a talented Junior Sushi Chef to join our fantastic team in our brand new concept kitchen in Battersea.

About the role:

As a , Junior Sushi Chef you’ll be an strong part of the kitchen team, supporting the delivery of world-class sushi to our guests. You’ll work closely with senior chefs to maintain exceptional standards, uphold consistency, and ensure every plate reflects the artistry of Chotto Matte’s cuisine.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, plate, and present sushi dishes to Chotto Matte standards
Uphold food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times
Work collaboratively with the Sushi Head Chef and wider kitchen team
Maintain section mise en place, stock control, and cleanliness
Support smooth service during high-volume operations
Contribute ideas for innovation while respecting brand standards
Train and support junior chefs within your section
Demonstrate precision knife skills and expert handling of raw fish

Requirements

Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or CDP in a premium or high-volume restaurant
Exceptional knife skills and a deep understanding of sushi preparation techniques
Strong knowledge of Japanese ingredients, sushi rice preparation, and raw fish handling
Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn and grow
